During May 2010 the Australian Orchid Foundation will proudly present,

“A FOUNDATION IN ORCHIDS”

Every orchid enthusiast can benefit by attending this Orchid Workshop to be held on Saturday and Sunday, 15th & 16th May at the Holmesglen Conference Centre, Corner Warrigal and Batesford Roads, Chadstone Vic. (Melway Map Ref. 69 F1) – and have an enjoyable time at this modern and convenient venue.

Developments in plant biology, hybridizing, fertilisers, composts, insecticides, growing techniques and propagation are happening fast. Learning of these makes orchid growing one of the most fascinating pursuits in the world.

The Workshop is devoted to the theme A Foundation in Orchids. Speakers from around Australia will demonstrate the fundamentals of this theme and their application to most genera.

There will also be the opportunity to purchase from a range of vendors including Camira Orchids, Tinonee Orchids, Orchid Species Plus, Western Orchids/ Laboratories, Royale Orchids, Orchid on Newbold, Wains’ Orchids and Castle Creek Orchids. Sarcochilus plants from Neville Roper will also be available.

During the day there will be opportunities for questions, discussions and practical application of the presented topics with other orchid enthusiasts.

  • The workshop commences at 9.00 am on Saturday, 15th May 2010.
  • 2 Day Full Registration is Single - $50.00 and Couple - $90.00 and will include a copy of the proceedings.
  • 1 Day Registration is $30.00 per person.
  • Casual entry to the Vendor area only  $5.00
  • Payment by individuals should be by cheque, money order, made out to the Australian Orchid Foundation.
